Experiences of having lived with Broca’s aphasia: a scoping review

Introduction: Broca’s aphasia, a non-fluent is frustrating condition with extensive psychological, familial, and social impact. The reports of people who have already recovered or can express themselves are essential to increasing knowledge about the experience living aphasia. A-FROM framework designed organize thinking impact aphasia includes four key domains: Communication language environment; Language related impairments; Personal identity, attitudes feelings, Participation in life situations. Nursing intervention central optimizing recovery positively influencing successfully this clinical condition. Objective: To map scientific evidence lived through period Methods: A Scoping Review was performed following Joanna Briggs Institute methodology. review based on research question, "How does person report having aphasia?", formulated according PCC strategy. search carried out MEDLINE®, CINAHL®, Psychology Behavioral Sciences Collection, Scopus electronic databases November 2022. Articles were selected eligibility criteria. followed PRISMA-ScR EQUATOR checklist. Results: Seventeen articles published between 1961 2022 included. Data obtained grouped domains tool. Information situations most cited, by impairments environment. Conclusion: It identified that health professionals, therapeutic interventions, spirituality, hope, context, interactions, psychosocial factors influence continue investigating how improve quality care people's life.
